The sheer beauty of the leopards at Loisaba reminds us of just how important it is to protect all of the endangered species left in the world. It seems strange to report that in this respect the wretched Opuntia cactus has played its part - providing a protective home for the tiny dik-dik at the opposite end of the food chain.
