This young ostrich with a broken leg was rescued by a local herdsman when it was found on the borderline between Loisaba and Suyian Ranch, struggling to reach its mother and brothers. Lang'at, the security officer (partly disguised by the ostrich!) and Omar were able to rescue the young ostrich which was taken to neighbouring Ol Jogi Conservancy which specialises in the rehabilitation of injured and orphaned wildlife.
