Loisaba Wildlife Conservancy
Loisaba is a 57,000 acre wildlife conservancy and working ranch located in Northern Laikipia, Kenya, East Africa. It is a haven for 50 mammal species and over 250 species of birds, and a vital migration corridor for 800 elephants, large herds of buffalo and the endangered Grevy's zebra and reticulated giraffe. It employs about 230 staff who are the life blood and beating heart of the organisation.
The conservancy has all kinds of terrain from rocky outcrops and hills to flat, open plain lands allowing the animals to come and go as the weather and the vegetation changes throughout the seasons.
There is also plentiful access to water at the various dams that have been built over the last one hundred years and become part of the wildlife scenery.
Enjoy a safari from your sofa as we provide a day to day account of our vital work, the opportunities that we are given and the challenges that we face, as we seek to protect our most endangered wildlife. Settle down for a behind the scenes look at the life of the people and animals at Loisaba beyond the facts and figures.
